The Panamanian Emberá aborigines are preparing to achieve the Guinness Record for Panama by making the world’s largest patacon on October 16.
A Community Effort
They will use 1,200 plantains that they will fry in a single cake weighing 100 kilos, for which they have the support of a score of companies in the country and the management of the NGO Impacta.
The Community’s Vision
The Traditional Authority of the General Emberá Congress of Alto Bayano, Sara Omi, referred in a press conference to all the work carried out in the community looking forward to the big day and the benefits they have received thanks to this event.
